HOW YOU CAN HELP

Work is due to commence on the Clubhouse Development in the near future. Members can assist with the funding of this project by volunteering to pay two years' subscriptions this year at 2008 rates. By paying for two years worth of membership now you will ease the Club's cash flow during the work and shelter yourself from the 2009 increase.

By funding the work this way the Club is hopeful that they will not need to seek additional finance from outside lending. September renewal reminders are about to go out and it is hoped that many members will take up the Club on this offer.

A fun and action-packed 3 days including coaching from a world top 50 player.

This is a great opportunity for juniors to get coaching from head coach Colin Whitney and World number 38 player Chris Ryder.

Monday 4th August to Friday 8th August 2008

New Closing Date for entries 26th July 2008.

This is an LTA Grade 4 Event which incorporates the Nike Junior Tour 08.

Monday 21st July - Friday 29th August 2008

Will take the form of weeklong activity and provide tennis coaching in a fun and safe environment with the activities led by qualified, licensed and CRB-checked coaches

This is a great opportunity for non-members to come along and try out the club's facilities.

There is free tennis coaching from LTA qualified coaches

The timetable is as follows:

juniors aged 3-9 10-11am
older juniors and teenagers 11-12 noon
adults any time between 10 and 12 noon

SUNDAY 8th JUNE 2008 at 2pm

The annual tournament is a social mixed doubles tennis tournament where participants enter as individuals and get to play with and against lots of different players.

All standards are welcome and there is enough space for 16 men and women. Sign up on the tennis notice board or email Tony.

Finals day is Saturday 13th September 2008

All of the draws can be downloaded.

Please try and complete all of your games by the given date. The tournament is spread out of several months this year to ease court congestion so there should be no difficulty in completing the games on time.

Monday 28th April sees the start of the summer tennis league season.

Attached is a copy of this season's fixtures which can also be found on the tennis notice board.

The balls for each team are in the coaches office and can be collected by team captains on their next visit to the club.
