Tennis Court Priority, Booking and Floodlights

Tennis Court Priority

Court priority arrangements have been established through consultation with members to preserve an informal atmosphere while balancing competing demands for courts.

There is generally most pressure on courts in the spring and early summer evenings. By contrast weekends are generally much less busy especially in the afternoons. On the rare occasions when players are waiting, those playing are limited to one set or 13 games (unless it is a mixed ladder match or a team match).

Tennis Court Booking

There is no booking system for courts except under floodlights when you may reserve a court to avoid disappointment. Court booking stamps cost 50p and are available from behind the bar. The stamps must be marked with your name and placed in the appropriate space(s) on the booking sheet on the tennis booking notice board just inside the main doors. The floodlights cost £2 for 30 minutes and the tokens can be purchased from the bar staff.
